History

	1920:Gnutti Carlo set up a small business manufacturing agricultural machines components. During the second World War the production was forced to manufacture parts for weapons
	1950: At the end of WWII, components for bicycles and roller bearings were the new core business.
	1960: Gnutti Carlo Spa is a niche manufacturer for highly specialised tapered roller bearings (Mercedes, Caterpillar, New Holland, Carraro)
	1985: in order to diversify the focus, the rocker arm business is set up
	1997: roller bearing business divested to TIMKEN
	1998: Gnutti Carlo focuses on engine components. Acquisition of SALVADORI SPINOTTI SPA (leader in piston pin manufacturing
	2000: Global presence: KENDAN EXETER is acquired
	2003: Restructuring Kendan-Exeter (one plant in Exeter then renamed Gnutti ltd))
	2004: Focusing on core business (Rocker Arm Mechanism): Salvadori Spinotti srl divested to Burges & Norton.
	2005 & 2006: Expanding our product portfolio into the area of Common Rail and Fuel Systems Components.
	2007: Acquisition of Finnveden Powertrain AB, with facilities in Sweden and UK, further strengthening the Gnutti Group position in the market as a leading valvetrain and precision components manufacturer.
	2008: Registration of Gnutti India Powertrain & Castings PVT Ltd. in Chennai, with the purpose of expanding he Gnutti Group in Asia and serve local customers as well as exploring purchasing initiatives in this market.

The manufacturing process takes advantage of Group synergy. In fact, another Gnutti division is involved with the manufacture of transfer machine tools. In house knowledge of both the component manufacturing process and the engineering of transfer machines allows the development of high performance production lines that impact positively on the cost of the final product and on the absolute certainty of the final product quality.
